BLOG 6: CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

I've been studying journalism for almost three years, wich would be a little more than half of the degree since it's 5 years in total. In these years there have been subject and particular things about the degree that I liked and others that I did not.

I believe that basic subjects of journalism as a language, writing and grammar, radio, reportage and reporting, etc, are taught in a great way with great teachers. There're teachers who are really good besides it's great and enriching to have such recognized and important teachers within the country's journalism.

On the other hand, there's a bad infrastructure as in all social sciences or humanistic degrees, added to being a public university. The lack of implements is a problem, even though I'm aware that the situation has improved and every effort is made by the institute.

I think it would be good to add a greater number and variety of electives of specialization and perhaps a greater focus on these for those who want to dedicate themselves to certain specific areas. Perhaps an entire year could be added to the degree that is dedicated only to specializations both in the area and in the way of doing journalism, although I really don't think the five-year degree is insufficient, at all.

Also, I think the university should invest in some faculties that are left out by others. It's true that faculties of engineering, economics or medicine give more money to the university but it's also important to invest in the others to ensure that all students receive the education they need to be good professionals in the future. Furthermore, as in Chile education is seen as a consumer item, it's paying for a service that must be done in a good way

BLOG 5: PERSONAL OPINION

I'll write about my opinion of the hooligans or "barras bravas" in Latin America.

Firts, I think it's important to say what I will say it's from a external look, since I'm not part of any barra, although I know some people who do.

The environment that lives inside represents a large part of the population in Chile and I would dare to say in Latin America. I can't include the whole planet, but I really don't think that's different. In there, the atmosphere is highly macho, violent and territorial, but how can that be explained? Many of the people comes from the lower strata of society and they have lived that way all their lives. Many don't have the privilege of a good education and they're vulnerable people abandoned by the State.

Also, being there this people develop a sense of belonging, they feel part of something, even many are capable of giving their lives for the colors or the team.

Beyond being part, agreeing with the act of the barras or not, before talk you have to understand the context of many of the people who are part.

I think it's obvious to say that not all people act the same. In that context, there are some people or groups/collectives that are part try change the established, that is, stir the macho/sexist thinking, xenophobia and racism of the songs or chants and expressions, even transcend a little more and change the way of thinking of many people about differents social causes, but it's difficult to eliminate or change some things from society.

 BLOG 4: MY FUTURE JOB

About my future job, it was hard for me make the decision to study journalism. Despite that I think I've always been interested and wanted work around sports. Since I entered to the university I thought I would in sports, although I never closed myself to take another option, I still think that's my think.

Football always been the sport that has interested me the most, since I was a child, since I can remember. Always I liked research and know about history, old and new players, etc. But isn't the only sport that I like, though yes the one that I follow the most. I would like other sports to be given the same importance or were covered similarly.
With respect to the salary, it would be a lie to say that I wouldn't make a lots of money, but sincerely isn't what interests me. With reach to live well, comfortable and happy I'm conform.

It would be a dream to travel and cover an sport even like World Cup or Olympic Games, but would be too cover minor events. Furthermore it's an option that I go to Spain to continue studying there, either for to make a magister or specialize more in sports.

BLOG 3: MOVIES AND SERIES

The name nombre of the series that I recommend is "El Marginal". Coincides that it's one of my favorites series, but I choose it because it isn't so well know like others, though it isn't "unknow". It's an Argentine series directed by Luis Ortega and released in 2016 The plot is about a expoliceman who is forced into jail to investigate a case and he faces the reality of being there.

I like it because it's very funny, it's quick and easy to see because things are always happening although it has parts a little raw, and also it allows you know a little more about the Argentine culture, especially his idioms. All their characters are very interesting as there is a world behind each one, what makes you love them a lot or hate them a lot.

The main characters are Pástor who enters forced to jail, the Borges brothers, Mario and Diosito, who control the jail and Emma Molinari who is the prison psychologist. My favorite is Diosito because he is the most funny and interesting, but he is insane.

BLOG 2: BEST HOLIDAYS / CONCERT EVER

My favorite concert or one I've enjoyed the most was the last one I went to. June 6 of the last year I went with Paloma, also student of this class, to the Caupolicán Theater, place where the Rels B concert was.

Rels B or Daniel Heredia is a Spanish singer, composer and producer of R&B, hip hop, and pop soul (I'm not sure that genre musical exists but is a mix of both).

The event was amazing, for the show in general and for the ambient. Rels B w
ith Buco, his friend and chorus, have and incredible talent and staging. While the atmosphere was great because the people were motivated.

The concert was nice, I felt really great because he is an artist that I've known for a few years, before he started to get more famous, besides that I love him. All this was better because we were one meter from him and we saw the whole show really close. Even we shook hands in a moment, something that was funny.

In the concert I met with many friends. One of them is Valentina and thanks to her we entered almost the first. With Paloma we arrived a little on the hour and there was a very long line. I knew that Valentina was going to the concert, but we hadn't talked before. So I decided go find her in the line because I knew she would be ahead because she was a real Rels B fan. I was not wrong and she was really far ahead so we walked in with her.

It ended up being a very good concert with great anecdotes.

BLOG 1: A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT

I would like a lot of countries, no to say all, but if I have to choose one, I choose Spain. Even though I don't like Spanish society or prefer other cultures, part of my family lives there. My brother Miguel Ángel alias Chely went to live 20 years ago, he married got married with Marta and they had a my nieces Sara and Carmen. Chely came twice in 2007 and 2010 consequently we haven't seen each other for 10 years and I don't know my nieces.  Also, there live uncles and cousins.

The regrettable union that we have with Spain makes me not far away with what is their history and culture, but I would like know a lot of monuments, castles, museums, beachs, etc, but above all what interest me most is their sports culture. I would really like see a Barcelona or Real Madrid game.

Further I would like stay living there for study or work, although I haven't decided yet but is a option go away to Spain.

POST 9: MY BEST FRIENDS

I have two best friend and despite that I know one before the other, I can't choose between them. The first one is called Joshua Barrios Arancibia, he is 19 years old and playing soccer for Athletic Club Barnechea and chilean futsal team under sub-20. We met in 2008 when we were not yet eight years old and we were in the new school. We became friends very fast and ew keep the friendship until today. The other is called Nicolás Farías Huencho, he is 19 years old too and he was studying Engineering at the USACH. We met in 2012 when his class played soccer against mine. At first we were only known but in the 2014 we became very good friends and with the time the friendship grew stronger. They are my best friends because we are similar in personalities and in the way of thinking, we also like the same things and we have been able to maintain friendship. I could not choose just a moment but I want to highlight the surprise party that prepared me for the weekend and of which they were part, it was a very nice, exciting and surprising moment.
